Andrej Pejic Channels Warhol and the Factory Girls

What fashion magazine hasn’t done some sort of Warhol-inspired shoot? We don’t know. So when recently-launched Du Jour took on the task of an editorial inspired by Nars’s new Andy Warhol collection, they really had no choice but to do something special. And they delivered.

“It Had to be You” Fashion editorial by Bullet magazine

I had a small obsession with this editorial from the moment I saw it. The pictures are colorful and technically perfect and the clothes are top Fashion with metallic fabrics, colorful patterns and psychedelic textures. But what kept me hang on the pictures were the models. It’s difficult to get so much “fake” passion and casual touching on a 5s frame and they did a great job. Just for that this Bullet mag editorial got a #Sexy badge.

‘Be Visible’ glowing jewellery by Milko Boyarov

‘Be visible embodies the idea of a serious of bracelets which reflect the light, fulfilling most women’s desire to be seen. Glowing jellyfish served as inspiration for the form. I have strived to reflect the jellyfish’s sense of mystique, futuristic energy and minimalism. During the work process my goal was to clean the form as much as possible, leaving only the essential, while implying the underlying inspiration.’ Photographed by Zlatimir Arakliev, jewellery by Milko Boyarov.

Painted a new way of beauty photography

Sometimes I’m not sure if the props should go to the photographer or the makeup artist for beauty photography. Considering that creating fashion and beauty imagery is a question of having the right team, I guess usually the props go to both. Reviewed here is the beauty work of German photographer Viktoria Stutz, who works mostly with two great makeup artist – Julia Sieckmann & Julia Heiermann.

A weird shoot you can’t stop admiring for its perfection.

Emma Stone stars in a sci-fi, blade runner editorial for Interview

Emma Stone is paying homage to Blade Runner in the latest edition of Interview Magazine.

Clearly, the whole techno-goth aesthetic is very in these days. CosmopolisTotal Recall, and now, even Emma Stone is getting in on the trend. She normally sticks to a high-school sweetheart look and au naturel makeup topped off with a good smoky eye, but we think this is working just fine. Everyone’s favorite starlet is convincingly badass in vampy, dark styling for Interviewmagazine. Why, she’s even smoking a cigarette!
